USB or Parallel Port

The software runs in conjunction with a Protection Key (Dongle). This device must be attached to a USB or parallel port on any system that is running the software. The software comes standard with a USB dongle. A parallel dongle may be purchased from Lytrod Software at an additional cost.

Internet Access

Software updates are available to any user with a current Support contract. These updates are available via the Internet and, therefore, require Internet access. Changes to Firewall settings may also be required to allow Proform Designer to access Lytrod Software's Update Service.

Administrative Rights

Administrative rights are required during installation of the software.  On Windows7 and Vista, User Account Controls must be set to Never Notify for the software to perform properly.
