Definition: A graphic rich calendar with customer name, selected sentiment and selected nature photos.
Business Problem:
Needed to enable a high style, 11x17” duplex document to be rapidly customized, personalized and printed on-demand.
Business Process:
Coded a Web-interface in HTML for a PC at a walk-up kiosk: fill-in and check-box selections for name, sentiment and a collection of photos. Application generates a VIPP Job Descriptor Ticket (JDT) that is transmitted, along with customer-input variable data, to the DocuPrint, DocuTech or DocuColor printer.Photos are stored on the controller hard drive in pre-RIP’d format, enabling very fast output using the VIPP CACHE command. Personalized, customized document is delivered to customer in less than a minute.
