| Constituent Mailing (Public Sector) Solution: Personalized letter to a constituent with customized graphics and survey (Public Sector) Definition: The PC-based DeskTop Designer VIPP Tool was used to easily and rapidly add highlight color, data-driven graphics and a customized survey. The returned survey can be scanned to automate the results process, saving time and labor in the creation of actionable constituent input. Business Problem: State legislators and members of the House of Representatives need to provide updates to their constituents on a regular basis. Frequently, they send surveys to their constituents but dont have an easy way of tabulating the results or storing the senders input for future use. They frequently send their constituent address files to outside printers so they can create labels that are affixed to the outside of the letter. This adds costs to the project. Often they send the mailing at first-class postage rates. Business Process: The constituents interests are stored in a master database, and their address and interest indicator is sent to the printer. The legislators name and address are placed in the appropriate spots on the letter, the constituents address is placed on the outside with the POSTNET bar code needed to reduce postage costs. The letters contents, graphics and survey are generated based on the indicator code sent in the data stream. Highlight Color at 600 spots per inch enhances the documents appearance, and the DocuPrint 92C has an optional Internal Dynamic Perforator to complete the process just before the letter hits the output tray. The perforation just above the survey makes it easier for the receiver to return their input and further reduces mailing costs as pre-perforated custom stock is no longer needed. Xerox Value Proposition to Customer vs. Competition: Dynamic document construction (DDC), Xeroxs unique just send the data workflow, offers unsurpassed production flexibility and control. By keeping data and format separate until the moment of production, documents are run at the printers rated speed, then sent to off-line mail folding and tabbing equipment, saving not only postage but envelope costs. |
