Solution: Personalized Membership Booklet Finished in a DocuCard Cover

The VIPP application was developed in the PC-based Proform Designer, the leading GUI in Xerox's VIPP Made Easy workflow. The Lytrod Proform Designer was used to easily and rapidly create the data-driven “template” that VIPP will use in production to create and assemble each member's customized and personalized booklet of member benefits. This black-and-white, multi-page, landscape, 5x8” duplex application builds each booklet's pages based upon the recipient's membership level. A full-color, pre-printed cover of Xerox DouCard stock is over-printed with the member's name and membership level, and includes a peel-away ID card with their photograph, member number and barcode for “wanding” at the store. One page in each booklet is a personalized OMR form for the member to rate the value of the club's various services.

Business Problem:
Shopping club needs a fast turnaround and cost-effective way to deliver ID cards, inform its members of, and get feedback on the value of, the services and benefits to which they are entitled, while at the same time marketing the benefits of higher-level membership.

Business Process:
With the Lytrod Designers, users can quickly set up conditional logic that calls and assembles text, photos and graphics to create a customized membership booklet. In this application the Lytrod Designer's OMR feature is used to create the personalized evaluation form and have VIPP “pre-slug” or fill-in the OMR “bubbles” with the member's ID number. Another Designer feature called “conditional multi-up” enables information printing on consecutive duplex pages, the number and content of which vary dynamically from member to member.

Personalized, black-and-white, duplex printing and control of the booklet finisher are all driven by the data and this innovative VIPP application
