Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

After installation of VisionDP or Intellicut, you will find file WIZ1xxSR_Config.zip in your VisionDP or Intellicut Program Files folder. This contains a tool to locate your AeroCut’s Ethernet port IP address and program it for connection to your software. Unzip this file so that the WIZNet tool’s installation files become seen. Run Install.exe in the WIZ1xxSR_Config_v.3.0.2_install folder. Following the directions below will explain how to use this tool. The IP address information retrieved can then be provided to your Lytrod software, so that this Ethernet port can used to communicate with your AeroCut
Slitter/Cutter/Creaser. As of this writing, the AeroCut Prime/One and Velocity supports this communication to your Lytrod software.

  1. Have your AeroCut connected to your network through an Ethernet cable, turn on your AeroCut and run the WIZNet tool: Launch WIZ1x0SR_105SR_CFG_V3_0_2.exe
  2. You will see an initial screen similar to this picture below:
  3. Click on the Search button, as shown above.
  4. Your AeroCut should be found on your network and listed in the Board list. Verify that the IP Configuration Method is Static and the Default Local IP of 192.168.11.2  and Port 5000 should display, as circled in red below.
  5. You must replace the default local IP with a valid static IP address from the user’s local network. Type this valid local address in the Local IP field as shown in the picture below the IP address of 10.10.10.18 was entered, which was a valid address for this user’s network. The subnet and gateway should also be updated. Port of 5000 will always be used. The default IP of 192.168.11.2 cannot be used and must be changed. Click on the Setting button at the bottom of the dialog to store this change to the WizNet board.
  6. Click on the Serial tab (shown below). The values shown above must match what is shown on your screen. Typically, the Speed defaults to 57600. Change this to 38400 using the drop-down. If any changes were done, click on the Setting button to store these values to your WizNet board. You can exit this software.
  7. On the PC that has the Lytrod software that, we highly recommend that you configure that PC’s ethernet as a Static IP address. (Ethernet Properties -> Internet Protocol Version 4
    (TCP/IPv4) Properties)
  8. Within your Lytrod Software, on the first time that you attempt to communicate with the AeroCut, the IP address and Port # (5000) will be required. All further communication will remember these settings, and will automatically connect, allowing for the storing of custom template information to your AeroCut, minimizing any possible errors.

After January 26th, 2014 Intelligent Mail barcodes are required by the USPS in order to get full postal sorting discounts. Lytrod Software supports this type of 2D barcode in all of its design software and it’s easy to create.

You must have the following, either in your data file or as static numbers:

  • 20 digit Tracking info - 2 digit Barcode Identifier, 3 digit Service Type Identifier, 6 digit Mailer Identifier, and a 9 digit Serial Number
  • Zip Code in one of the following formats - 5 digit ZIP code, 9 digit ZIP+4 code, 11 digit ZIP+4 + 2 digit DPC.

If these two numbers are combined as a single stream, the tracking info must precede the zip code and number of digits must be from 25-31 characters.

To create an Intelligent Mail Barcode:

  1. Create a text box and place the 20 digit Tracking-Code, or the Tracking-Code/Zip-Code sequence, either as static text or with variable information.
  2. Right click and access the Properties menu.
  3. Click on the 2D Barcodes tab.
  4. Select Show Data As: Intelligent Mail Barcode
  5. If the Zip-Code is defined as part of the Tracking-Code, check the Routing Code is last 5-11 digits of Tracking Code checkbox, else specify the Zip-Code in the Routing Code field.
  6. Click OK.
